We are proud to be one of 1500+ branches within The British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) the largest Scuba club in the world, which was formed around 60 years ago to promote safe underwater sport.
Our Branch is a very active, family orientated Scuba Diving Cub, formed in 1969 that has evolved ever since. We place great emphasis on training and safety and have members of all age groups. We have numerous Nationally Qualified Open Water Instructors and Assistants – all of whom willingly and freely give up their time to enhance the experience of others. (This includes a number of ladies who are available to help our female members).
Every Friday we assemble to train, socialise and plan the busy dive programme which runs throughout the year (check out the calendar of events for more of an idea!). We are keen supporters of maintaining our marine wild-life, historic heritage of wrecks and wherever possible, support the local community.
Hopefully we’ve ‘wetted’ your appetite but would urge you to get in touch and arrange a visit so you get a real feel for what we’re about. Take some time to download and read our Welcome Booklet or follow the links on the home page and then contact us for any further information – you’ve nothing to lose!
The branch has the safety and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, as a primary importance. We are committed to providing an environment where young people can learn and participate in a sport free from harassment and abuse. All those people working with children have a moral and social responsibility to safeguard and promote a child’s safeguarding. This Club follows the BSAC Safeguarding Policy to ensure peace of mind for both children and adults.
We really look forward to seeing you soon, and would love to share our passion for the undersea world with you.
